Benefits of Kx Technology Support Contract
Cost Effective
We can guarantee to save you significant development time with the support service. One issue can
stall development for days and possibly weeks that we can resolve immediately. In a large percentage
of cases code supplied via a support ticket completes a major piece of development in a matter of minutes.
Security
Whilst it is possible to send support questions to public Kx forums and list boxes these are public
forums and offer no security. The FD online support is a totally secure medium for exchange of market
sensitive information.
Guaranteed Response
FD guarantees a response to all issues raised, not necessarily true for list boxes and forums.
Access to the best collective group of q programmers worldwide
FD support queries are distributed to all our Kx consultants (40+ at January 2008). The most qualified
person for any given issue generally provides an answer. This results in a faster turnaround time for
answers.
Access to Kx Product Development team
Our partner status with Kx Systems allows us to go directly to the Kx technical team.
This ensures that ultimately, there is nothing we cannot answer.
Online History of Support Issues
Our online Quality Manager maintains a history of all support questions for each customer.
Acts as a Training Tool
As all support replies are distributed to all registered customer employees the correspondence
provides a form of training on both teething troubles and more complex technical issues. The
history is also particularly useful for new recruits who can reference their colleagues’ correspondence.
