We have built our methodology based on ensuring that the project team have excellent and reliable business requirements which allows us to apply an iterative process of prototyping throughout the design and build phase.

Our Discovery Phase is there to ensure that our client has a very knowledgeable understanding on the project estimations, the resourcing and the implementation strategy to be followed.

Throughout the Requirements & Analysis phase we continuously compare the users requirements to the Calypso FastTrack process so that the client leverages as much functionality as possible. The Requirements & Analysis phase allows the project team to have a very clear definition of the implementation scope.

It is our project methodology to deliver prototypes to the project business analysts and users throughout the design and build phase. This allows the users to begin initial testing and also to provide their feedback to the implementation team as to the progress on the design and build.

We promote the early usage of a Test Strategy in order to define the exact requirements and deliverables for System Integration Testing and also User Acceptance Testing. We have been commended by our clients for initating this approach as it allows them to focus early on the testing whilst First Derivatives concentrate on the design and build.

First Derivatives proactively participate in the testing phases by transferring their knowledge on the design and build along with sitting with the end users to ensure their comfort with the application and processes. First Derivatives can take a leading role in the Test cases design and the Operating Procedures documentation and End User Training.
