Why did you choose a career in Capital Markets Consulting with FD?

When I joined FD I was looking for a company that could provide me projects where I could learn, develop more skills and grow professionally through hard work and merit. I was looking for a company that could give me the opportunity to show my competences and allow me to contribute to the development of the firm. FD proved to be the right place to be. What do you enjoy most about your role?

In my current role I have the opportunity to learn about the systems we use (mainly Calypso) and Capital Markets business in general. Simultaneously, I can train colleagues with technical and business knowledge, helping them to become better professionals. FD trusts my work, allowing me to manage the team according to my understanding of the client’s needs. This empowerment stimulates my dedication and responsibility, as I need to respond for the decisions I make. The client and FD recognize the effort done and the work delivered as very valuable and positive, which is very rewarding and motivational.
Additionally, while working for FD I have been meeting and working with extraordinary people with different backgrounds, enriching me not only as a professional but also as a person.

What does your current working day look like?

Currently I am managing two QA (Quality Assurance) teams in two different projects. Depending on the stage of the project the activities may vary, but at any time, we work hard to deliver a very high quality output ensuring that we are adding value to the client. My daily tasks include define the scope and QA resource allocation within the project; prepare the plan of activities with resources and timelines; meetings with the business users to clarify requirements or processes to be implemented; guiding the team on the preparation of test cases and reviewing their work before presented to the client; provide guidance to the team on the execution of their work (execution of test cases and documentation of processes); high level review of configuration delivered together with the team resources; prepare stats and reports on work executed by the teams; provide education to the team members on system and business knowledge and methodology of work.
