Chief Commercial Officer
Pat has over 25 years of experience working in the international financial software industry. He was President of SunGard’s Trading and Risk division for many years, a founder of GoldTIer Technologies (now part of Refinitiv – 2014) and chairman of Polarlake (now Bloomberg Polarlake – 2013). He was a non-executive director of First Derivatives for many years prior to joining the company in an executive capacity in 2015. He now leads the global Kx sales team.
He holds a Masters of Management Science from Trinity College. Pat is a member of the Board of the Dublin City University Educational Trust.
Chief Strategy Officer
Gerry is an Innovative, technology executive with over twenty years of enterprise software and financial services experience. He was the Founder/Co-Founder of four technology companies each with a successful onward sale. His career spans Tibco, NEON, MSB, Thompson Reuters, Fundclear and he has acted as advisor to IONA, Objectstore, Wombat and the NYSE. Gerry has a unique knowledge mixture of the technology markets with strong industry connections, deep knowledge of, management, sales, marketing, technology and capital markets trading. Global work experience split between London, New York and California. He is a highly motivated entrepreneurial background with a complete understanding of running a focused organization delivering technology solutions.
Managing Director, Managed Services & Consulting
David joined FD in July 2020. David started his career in banking, spending 10 years in derivatives trading at DLJ, BNP and Standard Bank. He then joined City Practitioners, a newly-formed professional services firm, where he built the trading systems business in London and New York. In 2007, the firm was sold to Capco and David joined the executive team of SuperDerivatives. There, he held various leadership roles across product strategy, strategic sales and business development. Prior to joining FD, David was Managing Director of the UK, US and Canada and member of the group executive board of GFT. In his role at FD, David will have global responsibility for all aspects of FD’s managed services and consulting operations.
Kevin co-founded MRP in 2002. After years of successful growth in the US market, Kevin led the First Derivatives, PLC acquisition of MRP in 2008. Shortly after joining First Derivatives, Kevin was instrumental in establishing MRP’s presence in the European market. The Belfast office of MRP was launched in 2010 with less than 20 employees and has grown to more than 200. This presence has expanded MRP’s reach to include Europe, Middle East and Africa. In addition to his role as CEO, Kevin serves on the board of Executive Management for First Derivatives. Since 2007, he has also served on the Board of Trustees of Settlement Music School, the largest community school of the arts in the United States. Prior to founding MRP, Kevin held several sales and consulting positions with technology companies now owned by Infor and Oracle, and began his career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Delaware and earned his CPA license. Kevin enjoys music, cycling and travelling.
Chief Finance Officer
Graham joined the Board of First Derivatives plc in September 2008 and has responsibility for the Group’s financial operations. He formerly held senior roles with KPMG, Bank of Ireland and Silverwood Property Developments Limited and is a Qualified Chartered Accountant. During his career, he has worked on numerous corporate acquisitions and restructuring projects and has experience in business and acquisition finance.
Non-Executive Director (Independent)
Virginia joined the Board of FD in March 2015. A US citizen, she is managing partner of Azimuth Partners LLC, which assists its clients in the development of strategies for growth, innovation and international expansion. Prior to forming Azimuth, Virginia was a partner at Deutsche Bank Capital Partners and has also held senior management positions such as CIO at Merrill Lynch, Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank and Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc.
Chief Operating Officer
David was appointed as Global Chief Operating Officer in June 2020. David has worked for more than thirty years across the professional services, software and financial services markets in a series of financial, operational and M&A leadership roles. Prior to joining First Derivatives, David was the finance director of Group Transformation for the Lloyds Banking Group. Before that, David held a number of senior finance and operational roles across software and professional services at Logica plc and at Axiom Systems Limited. David started his career at Deloitte in London where he worked for ten years in their corporate finance and insolvency practices.
Chief Executive Officer
Seamus was appointed as CEO in January 2020. He was first appointed to the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director in December 2012 and was appointed Non-Executive Chairman in July 2013. He has over 20 years’ experience in the global technology sector in finance and operational roles and has held a number of non-executive roles since 2012. He was chief financial officer of Logica plc from 2002 until 2010 when he became chief operating officer and head of its Benelux operations. Prior to his role at Logica plc, he worked for the Olivetti Group in senior finance roles in the UK and Italy.
Non-Executive Director (Independent)
Keith has been a Director of FD since June 2012. He is a Chartered Director, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute. Keith was formerly the global head of structured corporate finance for Lloyds Banking Group and possesses a wealth of knowledge of capital markets. Prior to joining Lloyds Banking Group, Keith had a 16-year career with Citigroup during which time he held a variety of senior positions in Europe and Asia including being Asia-Pacific head of structured corporate finance.
Non-Executive Director (Independent)
Ayman joined the Board of FD in July 2020. He brings to the Group extensive experience in enterprise technology and a track record of driving business success through growth strategies focused on product innovation. He is currently President and CEO of BMC Software Inc., a global enterprise software company headquartered in Houston, Texas. Prior to his current role he was President and Chief Product Officer of CA Technologies Inc., a Fortune 500 company acquired by Broadcom Inc., where he was responsible for the vision, strategy, development and success of the company’s portfolio of products and solutions. Ayman holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cairo University. In addition to his role at BMC Software, Ayman is also a Director of Elisity Inc.
Chief Marketing Officer
Kathy was appointed as CMO in March 2020. Kathy brings extensive marketing leadership experience in the global technology sector, including senior marketing roles at privately-held as well as publicly-traded companies. Prior to joining FD, Kathy was global CMO at Sungard Availability Services. Before Sungard AS, Kathy was Senior Vice President, Product and Marketing for EMEA at Level 3 Communications. At Criteo, she held a global role on the executive leadership team as Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications. Schneider moved from consumer products to the technology sector in 1999 when she joined Dell Inc., now DellEMC. While at Dell, she led various marketing functions at a country, regional and global level. She has spent the last 16 years working and living in London with her family and will be based in FD’s New York office.
Victoria joined FD in 1998 following an Engineering Degree at Queens University Belfast and an MBA. Victoria worked as a Financial Engineer with FD in Dresdner Bank and Swedbank Markets for several years before joining the Business Development team in 2001. She now manages the Kx Services Business Globally and works with the Capital Markets Consulting Practise.
Chief Technical Officer
Mark manages Kx operations worldwide, as well as new initiatives. He joined Kx in 2015 with over 20 years’ experience in capital markets and data analytics. Previously, as Global Head of Algorithmic Solutions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, he managed the quant, trading, and technology teams, and introduced the FX execution platform built on Kx. Prior positions include Director, Foreign Exchange at Citigroup, designing FX algorithmic execution strategies; and Director, Head of Algorithmic Trading at Deutsche Bank, implementing the bank’s first tick history database using Kx; and Partner in an active trading firm specialising in strategies based on Deep Learning methodologies.
As Chief Scientist, Dave envisions the future roadmap for Kx tools. Dave has had a long and storied career in computer software development and is perhaps best known as the founder and past CEO of Object Technology International, formerly OTI, now IBM OTI Labs, a pioneer in Agile Product Development. He was the principal visionary and architect for IBM VisualAge Smalltalk and Java tools and virtual machines including the popular open-source, multi-language Eclipse.org IDE. As the cofounder of Bedarra Research Labs, he led the creation of the Ivy visual analytics workbench. Dave is a renowned speaker, university lecturer and Chairman of the Australian developer YOW! Conferences.
Donna joined the Board of FD in January 2018 and was appointed Chairman in January 2020. She has extensive experience in both senior executive and non-executive roles within multi national technology companies. She is based in Austin, Texas. Donna has held CEO, division general management and sales leadership roles in organisations including IBM, Partnerware, McAfee, SAP, Dell and Epicor, delivering revenue and margin growth and implementing global go-to-market strategies.
